Renders on my Modelling project

These are the final renders from my modelling project, as you can see, i used the parametric family that i created over and over. the rendering part of Revit is more straight forward that the other parts. it's easy to work comparing to the ones of Autocad and 3Ds Max. i think it's much closer to the rendering menu that an architect need to work with.

Parametric Family

in this post i will try to give you some information on the parametric family that i created for my modelling project.

this is a lattice wall that can be used as parapet, railing and etc. i created this lattice wall based on an ornamental pattern that i found in Persian architecture. i took me about half an hour to figure out the geometry and how logically this for can be created based on parametric design, but later. i put about 10 hours to figure out how i should draw it in Revit!
finally i did this on 3 levels. so actually i created 3 families where each of them is based on the previous one. you can find images in order of creation in this post although i am not gonna explain all the detail, but feel free to ask me if you are interested!

Introduction

I created this Blog to record the process that i will go through on creating a Revit project based on a residential project that i designed on last 3 months.

bellow are some drawings from that project.(3d images will be uploaded later) as you can see it consists of some condos that are managed in curved ribbons. i probably will create one of the ribbons and try to controls some parts parametrically.

as you can see there are some solar panels on the roof. hopefully i may be able to control their angle through some formulas based on the position of sun at certain time and place.

the other thing that i want to control is size of the holes on the lattice parapet on balconies. also i may be able to control height of those parapets.

that's all for now. but i am sure that new ideas would come into my mind as i go through modelling this project on Revit.
